There is no such thing as failure, only feedback

There is no such thing as failure, only feedback is an NLP principle that can be applied to any problem. Although failure and feedback are descriptions that can be applied to the same kind of event, the two words have very different meanings and connotations. Failure is not just a conclusion about the past; it is also usually a pessimistic prediction that goes through time and predicts more failure in the future.

Feedback however, presupposes that you can utilize information from the past in order to behave differently (and hopefully more resourcefully) in the future. The scope in time is the same, but the relationship between past and future is very different. Feedback presupposes using information about the past to alter the future and make it better, while failure presupposes more of the same.
