I and others also found the historical anecdotes of the early development of the field interesting and enjoyable—information that only Grinder and Bandler and a few others can provide.

The book includes a fairly large section on epistemology—how we perceive and know what we know. Although in many ways this is a pretty standard review of psychophysics and perception, I have talked with several people who found it very useful.
