We first wrote about shame over 12 years ago (1). Shame is often called “the secret emotion,” because most people who are ashamed, are also ashamed of feeling ashamed, so they seldom talk about it, or bring it up as a problem to be solved. The videotaped session below (2) occurred in a Master Practitioner training in 1990. The transcript is presented verbatim, except for deleting repetitions, some “OK”s, and a few other very small changes in order to make it more readable.
